entrance. At death we make our exit. On Wednesday, January 3, 2024, Schela took
her final bow after an award winning performance. The eagle was waiting and took
her on the pinnacle of its wings and with grace took her home
Schela "lala' Metayer stepped on this stage of life February 2, 1991 in Haiti. She was
born to Lucesse Metayer and Seulfrand Metayer. She was the eldest of 3 children
Schela was an outstanding student. She received her high school diploma from Spring
Valley High School class of 2009. Because of her love and passion for education she
continued her scholastic endeavors at UNLV where she received her Bachelor's of
Science in Kinesiolegy in 2023. Schela, a hardworking woman, worked for several com-
panies around the Las Vegas metropolitan area. Her last employer, The Raiders, where
she served as the Ambassador, she was faithful and dedicated until her health began to
decline, Schela was known as a compassionate, caring and lively stone. She was joyous
and always had a kind word for everyone. Her infectious smile will be missed by all. On
Wednesday January 3, 2024, while with her family and some close friends, Schela's
name was called and she was rescued from the mundane existence this life
sometimes provides. Schela was preceded in death by her mother, Lucesse Metayer. She
leaves to cherish her memory her father, Seulfrand Metayer, sister, Stephanie Metayer.
brother, Frandi Metayer, 2 nieces, her pride and joy Aubrie and Norri, and her best
friends Adrianna, Bri, and Micah. She also leaves a host of other loving family and friends. Phillipians 4:13
