Rosie Ann Wilson, born on November 28, 1941, joureyed peacefully into eternity on September 2,
2023, at the age of 81.
Rosie was born to her late parents, Father Elmer E McQuitty and Mother Alena McQuitty (maiden
name Woods), and was preceded in death by her brother, Elmer T McQuitty. She shared her life
jourey with her loving husband, Harold W E Wilson, whom she married in 1973,
She was a dedicated mother to her children, including her late daughter, Andrea Marie Wilson, her late
son, Stephen Thomas, and her surviving sons, James (P) Wilson, Cyrone Wilson, and Keith Wilson.
She cherished her daughters-in-law, Jannette Thomas, Daisy Wilson, Tabitha Lane-Adesanwo, and
Ethel Newman. Rosie leaves behind a beautiful legacy in her 11 cherished grandchildren: Keziah. Jesu,
Shekinah, Jedaiah, Giselle, Cyrone, Faith, Tori, Dominic, Keith Jr, and Quincey.
In addition to her immediate family, Rosie is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear
friends who were touched by her kindness and warmth.
Rosie's educational journey included attending public school and culminated with her
graduation from North High School in Des Moines, IA in 1960. She furthered her education
at the American Institute of Business (AIB) in Des Moines, graduating in 1963. Rosie
embarked on a 33-year career with the Federal Government in Social Security immediately
following her graduation from AIB, a testament to her dedication and commitment.
Rosie's life was deeply rooted in faith. She began her spiritual journey at St Paul AME
Church in Des Moines, IA, where she put her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Later, she
nurtured her faith at True Bible Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Ezell
Wiggins. Rosie was a faithful leader of Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) and found immense joy
in sharing and deepening her understanding of the Word of God, She was a woman of faith
who firmly believed in living out her faith through her actions
Rosie A Wilson was not only known for her inner beauty but also for her radiant
personality, She had an incredible ability to make everyone she encountered feel valued and
at ease, Her life was a testament to grace, humility, and compassion. Rosie embraced lite with
joy and touched the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a
legacy of love, kindness, and unwayering faith that will continue to inspire and guide those
who had the privilege of knowing her.

John 14:1-3

Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?   When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.
