Ralph Forte was born on May 12, 1946, raised by the union of Mitchel Forte Sr. and Maeola
Dixon Forte in Plant City, Florida
Ralph received his formal education at Marshall High School in Plant City, Florida
Ralph accepted Christ at an early age at the Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church in Plant City,
Florida.
After graduating from high school, Ralph (Birdie Forte) moved to Rochester, NY to help his
aunt Iretha Clarke (dec.) raise and support her family. Shortly after helping the family, in 1965
Ralph enlisted in the Unites States Army at Buffalo, New York. He enjoyed military life until
he was honorably discharged in 1967 from an injury. His family enjoyed receiving pictures
from him showing him jumping out of military planes as a paratrooper.
For over twenty years Ralph worked for the Kodak Company (he became a self-taught
photographer) after early retirement from Kodak, Ralph moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1989
and held several jobs that included working as a lead slot mechanic at the Rivera Hotel
Casino and he worked for a private limousine company as a driver.
In his leisure time Ralph received his Nevada Real Estate license. Ralph enjoyed showing out
of town family and friends all around Las Vegas with pride (Mr. Las Vegas). He was a fanatic
of all sports. He loved traveling all over the world, some of his international travels were
South Africa, Africa, Thailand, Asia, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Ralph moved to Angeles City, Philippines and met and married Cleofe (Cleo) Cantiga they
were married on December 28, 2015. The couple eventually made Las Vegas their home.
Ralph departed this life on May 06, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons
Langley and Kendrick Forte, brother Larry Forte and sister Sandra Forte Cooper.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Cleo Forte of Las Vegas, Nevada, his sons
Ralph Forte Jr. (Evelyn), Rochester, New York, Kevin Forte, Chicago, llinois, brother Mitchell
Forte, Jr. Los Angeles, California, sisters Vera Ford, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Evelyn (Marcus)
Green, Raleigh, North Carolina,
Grandchildren (11), Great grandchildren (8).
Mother-in-law, Judith Cantiga (father in-law) Eligio(dec.) 3 brothers-in-law; 3 sisters-in-law
all from Calbayog, Philippines A host of beloved nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
