Mariya Dion Douglas entered eternal rest
friends that adore her.
November 9, 2023 at home in Henderson, NV. She was
born on May 9, 1998 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing,
MI to Dawn Moore and Marcel Douglas
If you knew Mariya, she had the best dimpled smile
that would light up any room with an even bigger
heart to match. In her short 25 years of life, she
experienced so much pain, grief, turmoil, and
heartache but that never stopped her from showing
up and supporting the people she loved.
Mariya was the type of person that was always
willing to help others in their times of need. She was
out-going, caring, compassionate, funny, full of
moxie, resilient, kindhearted, courageous,
thoughtful, attentive, and just an overall sweetheart.
She was always very intentional in telling the people
she loved how much she loved them
At the core of Mariya's heart, was her baby girl,
Amiya Marie. She was determined to make a better
life for her and her daughter. Prior to her passing,
she was actively working on her resume and
applying for jobs to move back to her home state of
Michigan.
Mariya is proceeded in death by her father Marcel
Douglas,
Mariya leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter
(Amiya Marie), her mother (Dawn (Moore) Paz), her
two sisters, (Rakia and LaShiya), her niece (Alekia).
A host of grand-parents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, andfriends that adore her.
To my baby girl your smile lit up the room. You had the
biggest heart and you loved hard no matter what was
going on in your life. Living life was what you did. I hear you saying
"momma take care of my baby you know I got this"

We'll always remember that special smile, That caring
heart, that warm embrace you always gave us. You
being there for Mama and us through good and bad
times, no matter what. We'll always remember you
Mariya because there'll never be another one to
replace you in our hearts, And the love we will always
have for you.
