Luther Ray Bailey was born in Fort Worth, Texas on October 21st, 1948, to
parents, Luther and Hattie Bailey. He was well known by the name Ray.
Ray came to Las Vegas in 1954 with his family. He attended Westside
School, Matt Kelly Elementary and graduated from Clark High School.

His love for cars inspired him to become a mechanic. Later he moved to
Southern California, and took a job as a welder. Ray served in the United
States Marines and was honorably discharged.

Ray loved to fish and hunt. He was very comical and loved to be with his
brothers. Ray loved his parents and cared for them before he moved to
Tyler, Texas in 2021.

Ray leaves to mourn and cherish his memories, his father and mother,
Elder Luther and Mother Hattie Bailey; 4 sons, Ray Ray, Maurice, Cornell
and Deon Butler; 6 brothers, Jimmy, Charles, Roy, Marcus, Brian and
Kevin; 4 sisters, Emma (Tom) Mikkelson, Christine Slusher, Patricia Green,
and Gwendolyn Grant; 3 daughters, Dina Bailey, Felicia Butler, and
Karmisha Bailey; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and
friends.
