White Plains, New York to Frank and Jean Anunziato.
She lived with her parents and siblings, Jeanette,
Jean, Anthony, Diane, and Thomas. As a young lady,
she enjoyed going out and socializing with her friends
When Dee was 17, she met and fell in love with Michael
Leserra. They were married in 1956. Together they had
Frank, Donna, Michael, and Dawn. They raised their
kids in Margate, Florida, where Dee managed various
restaurants. Shortly after Dee and Mike divorced in
1980, she met Dexter Boice. In 1981, they were
married. Together with Dawn, they moved to Houston,
Texas. She ran the Denny's in Galveston. Dee always
enjoyed her annual girls' trip to Las Vegas, NV
Enamored with the bright lights of Vegas, they moved
there in 1985. In Vegas she continued working for
Denny's and later The Pink Pony. Even after losing her
husband, Dexter, she continued to work and enjoyed
the Joker Poker at the El Cortez. She had many
devoted regular customers until she retired from
waitressing. She developed a love for cruises and
traveling with her friends and family.
Throughout Dee's life, she was a selfless mother to her
four children, and Mema to her ten grandchildren and
18 great grandchildren. She was devoted and giving to
all. She was known to have a house open to everyone
and loved her kids and their kids fiercely. Dee would
give the shirt off her back to any in need. She was a
wonderful cook and loving host. She would always
make sure that you left her house feeling full and
loved. Dee's house was filled with those who loved her,
and were loved dearly by her until she passed on
March 25. 2022.
