Life Reflections
Armour Dean Williams was born March 6, 1936 to the
late Henry and Pearlina Ash in Batesville, Mississippi.
Armour grew up in Braggadocio, Missouri during her
younger years she enjoyed singing in the choir.
She was crowned Ms. Providence in Popular, Bluff Missouri
Armour moved to Gary, Indiana and graduated from
Roosevelt High School in 1968.
She worked on the campaign to help elect the first African
American Mayor of Gary Indiana
She was employed at KMART formerly known as SS Kresge
and at Gary's Screw & Bolt while residing in Indiana.
Armour moved from Gary, Indiana to Las Vegas in 1975
where she was employed and retired from Clark County
School District in the year of 1994.
Armour had a short stay in Georgia but loved living in
Las Vegas, Nevada so much that she returned and began
volunteering at the food bank located inside of the
Whispering Pines Senior Citizens Living Community.
On the morning of April 30th Armour was called home to
be with the Lord.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents,
husband Aubrey Williams, Jr., three sisters Donzella Lucky
Ruby Arrington, Dorothy Bell Dock.
She leaves to cherish her memories:
Five siblings Arlanch (Edie) Ash, Earl (Eloise) Ash, Delores
(Howard) Hibbler, Urlena (Harry) Hamilton, Doretha Moss.
Eight children Vanessa Bills, Thomas (Shinequa) Cotton Jr.,
Rolando (Sheril) Cotton, Marvin (Carmen) Cotton,
Edwin Cotton, Charlotte (Frank) Jones, Dr. Tracy B. Cotton,
Aubrey (Pamela) Williams IIl, a special nephew and niece,
Randall Doc and Lufonda Cone, a host of grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
